We are being inundated by epic and large scale television series, from shows that have been hyped up and talked about on all the social media networks. And then you get a show like The Deuce which almost slipped under the radar but was so excellent and multifaceted that it’s almost too good to miss.
It’s 2018 – which means, a new year, and new series to keep you entertained. The batch of January premieres have some excellent casts from Angela Bassett to Connie Britton to Yara Shahidi, and span different time periods and genres.
Alias Grace is a show that you don’t come across everyday, some critics would compare it to The Handmaid’s Tale, because they are both based on books by Margaret Atwood, but what makes Alias Grace stand out even further is that it is based on a true story.
Here’s the thing, I like my girly shows, I like the boy drama, the friendship drama, the work drama, the outfits that I can only dream about owning and making comments throughout it all. This is the reason why I watched all of Gossip Girl, Gilmore Girls, and of course, more recently Pretty LIttle Liars.
The question I get asked the most is for series recommendations, and I struggle with it a lot, especially since I feel as I don’t watch enough to give anyone recommendations and my taste itself is so weird and varied, and of course, subjective that I might be waaaay off-base.
